CASE # <br /> <br />CREATION OF TOWER OVERLAY DIsTRIcT <br /> By: Principal Planner Patrick Trudgeon <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On December 19, 2000, the City Council adopted an ordinance to amend the City's commercial <br />tower regulations. Among other things the amendment restricted construction of commercial <br />towers on residential property to parcels at least 10 acres in size that are located in an area' to be <br />identified as a Tower Overlay District. The Tower Overlay District is shown on the attached <br />map. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The Tower Overlay District roughly conforms to the Rural Preserve Area identified in the draft <br />Comprehensive Plan. Staff has modified the boundaries to more closely follow quarter-quarter <br />section lines and to avoid splitting properties.
