Council Update Adopt-a-Flag Program. We are excited to announce that we have embraced a new program to bring the community together and show our patriotism by allowing residents and businesses to sponsor an American flag in downtown Ramsey. The Adopt-a-Flag Program calls for community partners—both in the business and residential community—to sponsor an American flag that will be affixed to a light pole along Sunwood Drive. There are two sponsorship levels available,Friends of the Flag Sponsorship and Patriot Sponsorship. Show your support by dedicating an American flag in recognition of your family, business, or in honor of a special person in your life. To learn more visit www.cityoframsey.com/778/Adopt-a-Flag. Parks and Recreation Events and Updates: • The Drive-in Movie event has been rescheduled for June 20th o Those registered for the June 6 date automatically had their ticket transfer to the second date. Reminders have been sent out if they cannot make it to contact the Recreation Specialist. o Food truck will be available for order. Menu and details are posted on the Recreation Events website and Facebook Events • Other ways to get involved o The first two boards of the Parks and Recreation BINGO Challenge have been released! See if you can get a BINGO for your chance to win a gift card to support one of Ramsey's local businesses o Just a few days left to sign up for the Virtual Art class with Rumriver Art Center. Great for a range of ages to create their very own Aboriginal Dot Painting • Up and coming o Thank you to all who have signed up for Art in the Park- we have completely filled the classes and look forward to seeing your projects! o Stay tuned for the release of our Summer 2020 Yoga in the Park sessions! COVID-19 Update: Ramsey City Hall, Fire Station#1 and the police lobby are now open to the public with certain restrictions, consistent with the Governor's guidelines. Also, the permanent restrooms in City Parks are now open for the season. The City Council voted to lift the Local Emergency Declaration, knowing that many systems and procedures are now in place to adjust to the COVID-19 virus outbreak. Of course,public health guidelines still apply. The Anoka County License Center, located in the Ramsey Municipal Center, is currently open by appointment only, please www.anokacounty.us/license to make an appointment.
