7.01: Public Hearing: Consider Ordinance #20-10 Amending Bulk Standards in the R-1 <br />Residential District <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairperson Bauer called the public hearing to order at 9:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Senior Planner McGuire Brigl presented the staff report stating that staff recommends approval <br />of Ordinance #20-10 revising City Code Section 117-111 related to side yard setback bulk <br />standards within the R-1 Residential zoning district. <br /> <br />Commissioner VanScoy stated that this would make the standard distance between buildings at <br />12 feet. He asked if this would create an issue for public safety. <br /> <br />Senior Planner McGuire Brigl replied that ten feet between buildings was previously used and <br />advised that this would be enough space to get between the homes. She confirmed that public <br />safety did not have an issue.
