The public hearing was conducted
in an open house format where citizens were able to go from area to area to discuss with City
staff the various components of Comprehensive Plan. Approximately 60 people participated in
the open house public hearing. Principal Planner Trudgeon commented that staff received
several written responses prior to the public hearing and several more at the public hearing. In
addition, staff received a few more written comments after the public hearing on June 21. The
comments of the public were included in the staff report, which he summarized. Staff
recommends that the Planning Commission make a recommendation to the City Council
regarding the proposed Comprehensive Plan.

Chairperson Nixt noted this was not a public hearing, though he invited comments from
residents.

Citizen Input

Greg Becker, 15430 Nowthen Boulevard, Ramsey, stated he and his neighbors were proposing to
rezone a triangular parcel between Sunfish Road and 153rd Avenue to medium density.
