WHEREAS, all three of the development scenarios for the comprehensive plan amendment <br />reviewed by the Planning Commission and City Council on January 4 reflected the proposed plat of <br />Brook field Addition being developed with urban services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed plat of Brookfield Addition will be subject to an Environmental <br />Assessment Worksheet (EAW), which will address transportation, environmental requirements, and <br />water control in greater detail than the comprehensive plan rewrite; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Property Owners did previously petition for the extension of sanitary sewer <br />and municipal water to the north and the City has completed a Feasibility Study For Northwest <br />Sanitary Sewer And Watermain Extension, dated March 2004, which study determined that the <br />extension of services to the Subject Property is feasible; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on March 3, 2005, conducted a public <br />hearing, and recommended that the Ramsey City Council deny the Property Owner's request for an <br />amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That thc Ramsey City Council hereby approves the request for a land use designation change of <br /> the Subject Property from Rural Developing to Low Density Residential. <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary <br />documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive Plan to <br />chm~ge ~he land use designation to Low Density Residential. <br /> <br />3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification <br /> of approval from Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Jeffrey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councihnember Elvig <br />C¢)uncilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councihnember Strommen <br /> <br />and the lbllowing voted against the same: <br /> <br />~Ol~e <br /> <br />a~d ihe lbllowing abstained: <br /> <br />Nol-le <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-03-085 <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
