ORDINANCE #20-15 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN ADDITION TO CHAPTER 54 OF THE CITY CODE: <br />TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES <br />AN ORDINANCE GOVERNING THE USE OF THE RAMSEY PARKING RAMP <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1— PURPOSE <br />The Ramsey Parking Ramp was constructed to provide for the parking of motor vehicles <br />by the general public, visitors to City Hall, City staff, residents of the adjoining <br />residential units (Residence at the COR Apartment Homes), adjoining business space, <br />and for Park and Ride users. Recently, the City became aware that the Parking Ramp is <br />being used for activities other than the parking of a motor vehicle. Improper or <br />unsanctioned use of the Ramsey Parking Ramp increases wear and tear on the Ramp, and <br />risks harm to the other vehicles parked in the ramp or to the owners of those vehicles. It <br />is the intent of this ordinance to serve the City's interest in preserving the appropriate use <br />of the Ramsey Parking Ramp <br />SECTION 2 - AUTHORITY <br />Pursuant to authority granted by Minnesota Statutes, Section 462.357, subdivision 1, the <br />City of Ramsey hereby restricts and regulates the manner in which the Ramsey Parking <br />Ramp may be used. <br />SECTION 3 - City Code Section 54-41 is added as follows: <br />Section-54-41. RAMSEY PARKING RAMP <br />(a) Definitions. <br />As used herein, the term motor vehicle is specifically limited to automobiles and <br />motorcycles. <br />Ramsey Parking Ramp refers to the municipal parking ramp adjacent to City Hall. <br />The legal description of the Ramsey Parking Ramp is Lot 2, Block 1, COR ONE, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota. <br />
