Awarding Alternate Bid A will provide the greatest level of safety for pedestrians <br />crossing Variolite Street at 161 st Avenue and awarding Alternate Bid B will reduce overall project <br />costs by over $42,000 and will reduce the overall construction schedule and impacts to the <br />traveling public. <br />Councilmember Riley stated that he is glad that this project is about to be approved as the residents <br />along Variolite are much appreciative. <br />Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, to Adopt Resolution #20- <br />124 Accepting Bids and Awarding Contract for Variolite Street Reconstruction, Improvement <br />Project #20-01, including both Alternates A and B. <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Musgrove thanked staff for their work on the case and the <br />inclusion of the two alternates.
