Awarding Alternate Bid A will provide the greatest level of safety for pedestrians <br /> crossing Variolite Street at 161'Avenue and awarding Alternate Bid B will reduce overall project <br /> costs by over $42,000 and will reduce the overall construction schedule and impacts to the <br /> traveling public. <br /> Councilmember Riley stated that he is glad that this project is about to be approved as the residents <br /> along Variolite are much appreciative. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, to Adopt Resolution#20- <br /> 124 Accepting Bids and Awarding Contract for Variolite Street Reconstruction, Improvement <br /> Project #20-01, including both Alternates A and B. <br /> Further discussion: Councilmember Musgrove thanked staff for their work on the case and the <br /> inclusion of the two alternates.
