<br />statistics on the number of completed tests, confirmed cases, and number of deaths in Minnesota <br />related to COVID-19. He stated that Minnesota continues to remain under the forecasted <br />numbers. He reported that during the recent mask drive, Ramsey Fire Department received 780 <br />masks and has distributed those to facilities within Ramsey. He stated that the Governor will <br />provide an update later this week related to the Stay at Home Order. He stated that the Ramsey <br />Fire Department will receive additional PPE kits. <br />3. CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br />4. APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Musgrove, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Musgrove asked if a change should be made to Consent <br />Agenda Item 5.08 at this time, or whether that should be done under that item. She noted a <br />change to the number of workers within the case that was discussed at the worksession. Public <br />Works Superintendent Riemer replied that one applicant did back out of the offer for <br />employment due to the COVID-19 situation and therefore the City will only be hiring one person <br />during that case. Councilmember Musgrove asked if Case 5.08 could be corrected. Mayor <br />LeTourneau agreed that the Council could recognize that while the City authorized two hires, <br />only one would be completed. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the City Administrator: <br /> <br />Mayor LeTourneau aye <br />Councilmember Riley aye <br />Councilmember Menth aye <br />Councilmember Heinrich aye <br />Councilmember Kuzma aye <br />Councilmember Specht aye <br />Councilmember Musgrove aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Councilmember Menth stated that Public Works Superintendent Riemer stated during the <br />worksession that he would be interviewing a second person the following week and asked if staff <br />would have the proper approvals for that hiring. <br /> <br />Administrative Services Director Lasher replied that candidate has not yet gone through the <br />preemployment background checks and therefore that candidate will come forward at the next <br />Council meeting for consideration. <br />City Council / April 28, 2020 <br />Page 3 of 12 <br /> <br />
