Board Business <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the Board of Adjustment meeting back to order at 7:27 p.m. <br /> <br />Board Member Kociscak stated he would recommend denial of this variance, since the last two <br />similar requests were denied. He preferred to defer to Council since they could determine <br />whether a truck was in the budget. <br /> <br />Board Member Watson agreed with Board Member Kociscak and added that the denials in the <br />past were for good reasons. He noted he had a discussion with several Council members <br />regarding the ladder truck. He voiced his opinion that it should be in place before a variance is <br />granted. <br /> <br />Board Member Reeve agreed with Board Members Watson and Kociscak. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Kociscak, seconded by Board Member Reeve, to adopt Resolution <br />#01-09-323 adopting Findings of Fact #0573, with items 11, 12, 13, and 14 unfavorable to the <br />applicant, relating to a request by Lord of Life Church to vary from the height restriction for the <br />Lord of Life Church apartment building. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Board Members Kociscak, Reeve and Watson. Voting No: <br />Chairperson Nixt. Absent: Board Members Johnson and Sweet: <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Kociscak, seconded by Board Member Watson, to adotp Resolution <br />#01-09-324 to deny a variance to height restriction for the proposed Lord of Life Church <br />apartment building based on the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Board Members Kociscak, Watson, and Reeves. <br />Voting No: None.
