She indicated she would like to see this Interim Use Permit denied. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt asked how much traffic is being generated by the business. <br /> <br />Ms. I3crkley indicated there were seven personal vehicles in the driveway the other day, and four <br />commercial vehicles. She stated there are usually two cormnercial vehicles there. She noted cars · <br />have to drive slowly along here because there is a lot of traffic coming in and out onto the road. <br /> <br />Chair-person Nixt asked what hours the work seems to be taking place. <br /> <br />Ms. Berkley indicated they usually start at 7:00 a.m., and she has seen the light on in the pole <br />shed until 7:00 or 8:00 at night. She stated there is some noise occasionally, but not often. <br /> <br />Robert Guzzo, 6160 Green Valley Road, indicated his intention, when he buil~ the pole barn was <br />Ibr personal use. He stated the business has grown quickly and they outgrew the location they <br />were in, so he thought they could move it to the pole barn for a while to keep overhead down. <br />}de noted he did call the City two years ago when they first started because the main office was in <br />his basement. He indicated he was told he did not need a permit at that time. He stated he did <br />no~ tu' to mislead anyone. <br /> <br />Mr. Guzzo indicated that as to the trucks, the growth of the business has been a learning <br />experience. He stated they did signs for Kohl's, which were being picked up and dropped of-fat <br />his location. He indicated that since then they have learned to have the signs brought directly to <br />thc job site. He stated, there is a path he created for his kids so they do not have to drive on <br />Green Valley Road that he intends to pave, which will help with traffic2 He reiterated it was not <br />his intent to mislead anyone. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt asked how he would respond to the concern about the number of trips and the <br />hours of operation. <br /> <br />Mr. Guzzo stated their hours are typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. He indicated they had a big <br />order lbr Gander Mountain recently and had a couple of late nights because the schedule was <br />moved up, but the intent is to only work those hours, Monday through Friday. He noted he also <br />uses the pole barn for personal use, so he is in there at other times of the day and weekends. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shepherd indicated the request is for a maximum of five years. She asked if that <br />was rc:alistic. <br /> <br />ivlr. Guzzo indicated they do not know how long it will take to move, but the intent is to be out <br />of thc pole barn as soon as possible. He stated he hopes it will be less than five years. He <br />indicated they have been using the pole barn for three to four months and in that time the <br />business has grown substantially. He noted that right now, paying rent for a different location <br />would set them back.
