The structure will not be <br />sprinkled per State of Minnesota Fire Code. <br /> <br />Landscaping: There will be no direct landscaping installation as part of this project. The landscaping <br />proposed along the south side of the building (Civic Center Drive) will be installed as part of the streetscape <br />improvements done by RTC LLC. On the east side, a sidewalk will go up to the landscaping installed as part of <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center project. There will be no landscaping installed on the north side (Sunwood Dr.) <br />and the west side (Cinema side) as these areas will be blocked by other buildings and/or used for expansion. <br /> <br />Architectural Standards: The architecture and design of the structure is consistent with what was approved <br />as part of the preliminary site plan. The structure will have four different architectural finishes. They will <br />consist {of a buff applied finish along the top of the structure; a buff form finished precast stone finish at the <br />base of the columns; red modular brick will be used extensively, on the lower levels and the ends of' the <br />structure; and finally a reddish brown applied texture finish will be utilized on the middle levels. Staff took a <br />hard look at the budget and the design of the building to make sure that we had a quality building while not <br />exceeding the budget. The use of these' materials as well as the design changes ordered as part of the <br />preliminm~w site plan has kept the project within budget.. <br /> <br />Drainage and Grading: Staff has reviewed the final drainage and grading plans and finds them acceptable <br /> <br />Access: Thc parking structure will.have two accesses. From Sunwood Drive, drivers will only be able to enter. <br />No exit from the structure will be allowed at this access. The primary access will come from Civic Center Drive <br />aad will allow For vehicles to both enter and exit. City Staff has reviewed these accesses and find them <br />acceptable. <br /> <br />The Cit'y Council will be meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Mayl0, 2005 at Ramsey Fire Station, 15050 <br />Armstrong Blvd., to review the proposed site plan. You or your 'representative may want to be present 'to <br />answer any questions that may arise.
