Counci lmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #05-05-XXX <br /> <br /> R ESOL UTION AUTHORIZING CITY ENGINEER TO REQUEST FROM THE <br /> DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION A TRAFFIC SPEED STUDY ON <br /> RIVERDALE DRIVE BETWEEN RAMSY BLVD AND TUNGSTEN STREET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to have a speed study conducted on the above segment of roadway <br />tbr the purpose of determining the appropriate speed limit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there have been no previous speed study conducted on this segment of roadway. <br />since the time it has been constructed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, state statutes require that a speed study first be conducted on an urban section of <br />roadway prior to posting any speed limit other than 30 miles per hour. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED ..... <br /> <br /> 1. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to request a. traffic study by the Department <br /> of Transportation on the segment of Riverdale Drive between Ramsey Blvd. and <br /> Tungsten Street. <br /> <br /> 2.
