<br />Councilmember Specht introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #20-169 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING TEMPORARY FENCING AND PLAY AREA FOR PACT <br />CHARTER SCHOOL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />PACT Charter School, hereafter referred to as “Applicant”, has requested <br />approval from the City for temporary fencing and a play area, as well as daily cones to support <br />student social distancing, at the property generally known as 7250 E Ramsey Pkwy, on the land <br />legally described as <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 1 Ramsey Town Center Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota (the ‘Subject <br />Property’); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, the Subject Property is approximately 5.34 acres in size; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, the Applicant has requested temporary fencing to allow for a larger play <br />area outside and to ensure that items from said play are kept off Ramsey Blvd; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, the Applicant is attempting to allow for more room for social distancing and <br />promote safety of student’s wellbeing given current state of Covid-19; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, the Applicant has proposed to put out orange safety cones at the start of <br />each school day and remove them at the end of each school day; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, the City Council reviewed and approved the requested on August 10, 2020. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby grants approval for the proposal with the following <br />conditions <br /> <br /> <br />a.Approval sunsets at end of 2020-2021 school year or at end of pandemic guidance <br />related to Covid-19. <br /> <br /> <br />b.Tied to site plan seen in Exhibit A. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Musgrove, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Menth <br /> <br />
