Cotmcilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-04-109 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE METROPOLITAN <br />(?OUNCII~ FOR TAX BASE REVITALIZATION ACCOUNT FUNDING <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the City of Ramsey is a participant in the Livable Communities Act's Housing <br />Incentives Program for 2005 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible <br />to make application for funds under the Tax Base Revitalization Account; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the City has identified a clean-up project within the City that meets the Tax <br />l~as¢ Revitalization account's purpose/s and criteria; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the City has the institutional, managerial and financial capability to ensure <br />adcq mite project administration; and <br /> <br /> W H EREAS the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as <br />slated in the contract agreements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the City Council of Ramsey, Minnesota agrees to act as legal sponsor for the <br />I'~roject contained in the Tax Base Revitalization Grant Application submitted on May 1, 2005; <br /> <br />NOW TilEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />I~:AMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> That thc Mayor is hereby authorized to apply to the Metropolitan Council for this funding on <br />behalt~ of the City of Ramsey and to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the <br /> ect (m behalf of the applicant. <br /> <br />'l'he motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />()ls(m and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayt)r Gamec <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councihnember Cook <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />And the ['ollowing voted against the same: <br /> <br />NOBC <br /> <br />And the l'ollowing abstained: <br /> <br />Resolution #05-04-109 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
