Cotmcilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #05-04-109 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE METROPOLITAN (?OUNCII~ FOR TAX BASE REVITALIZATION ACCOUNT FUNDING WHEREAS the City of Ramsey is a participant in the Livable Communities Act's Housing Incentives Program for 2005 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible to make application for funds under the Tax Base Revitalization Account; and WHEREAS the City has identified a clean-up project within the City that meets the Tax l~as¢ Revitalization account's purpose/s and criteria; and WHEREAS the City has the institutional, managerial and financial capability to ensure adcq mite project administration; and W H EREAS the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as slated in the contract agreements; and WHEREAS the City Council of Ramsey, Minnesota agrees to act as legal sponsor for the I'~roject contained in the Tax Base Revitalization Grant Application submitted on May 1, 2005; NOW TilEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I~:AMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That thc Mayor is hereby authorized to apply to the Metropolitan Council for this funding on behalt~ of the City of Ramsey and to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the ect (m behalf of the applicant.
