('ouncilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-04-108 <br /> <br />RESOIJUTION TO COMMIT LOCAL MATCH IDENTIFIED IN DEPARTMENT OF <br />EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CONTAMINATION CLEANUP <br />GRANT APPLICATION <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSE¥, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />That thc City of Ramsey act as the legal sponsor for the Former St. Paul Terminals <br />project included in the Contamination Cleanup Grant Program to be submitted on May <br />1, 2005 and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply to the Department of <br />[Snployment and Economic Development for funding of this project on behalf of the <br />City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />'[hat thc City of Ramsey has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance, and the <br />institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure adequate project <br />administration. <br /> <br />'l'hat the sources and amounts of the local match identified in the application are <br />committed to the project identified. <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey has not violated any Federal, State or Local laws pertaining to <br />l?aud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, conflict of interest or other unlawful or <br />corrupt practice. <br /> <br />'l'hat upon approval of its application by the State, The City of Ramsey may enter into an <br />agrcemcnt with the State of Minnesota for the above-referenced project, and that the <br />(iity of Ramscy certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulation as <br />stated in all contract agreements. <br /> <br />'l'hat the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to <br />implement the project on behalf of the applicant. <br /> <br />'Ibc mo~ion tbr the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />()lson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Cotmcilmembcr Elvig <br />C(~unci hnember Olson <br />Councilmen~ber Cook <br />C()tu-~ci lmember Jeffi'ey <br />Councihnember Pearson <br />(_;ou~cilmember Strommen <br /> <br />Resolution #05-04-108 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
