or to maintain the drainage improvements as the property owner will be responsible for maintaining the new <br />drainage improvements in perpetuity. <br />Estimated construction costs for this project total $16,600 based on the attached plan prepared by City Staff. <br />Construction staking and inspections are proposed to be provided by City Staff. All project costs are proposed to be <br />split evenly between the Stormwater Management and Stormwater Utility Funds. <br />Upon Council approval, Staff proposes to solicit quotes from several local grading contractors with a quote <br />submittal deadline of 10 a.m. Thursday, September loth. On September 15th the Public Works Committee will <br />then be asked to review quotes and provide a City Council recommendation for award of a construction contract on <br />September 22nd. <br />This project is anticipated to take 2 to 3 days to complete, with substantial completion specified for November 6, <br />2020. Final payment will be issued in 2021 after turf is established and all work is approved. Based on the current <br />bid environment, Staff anticipates receiving good quotes. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends adopting Resolution #20-175 approving plans and authorizing Requests for Quotes for 16660 <br />Jasper Street Drainage Improvements, Improvement Project #19-13. <br />On August 18, 2020, the Public Works Committee discussed this project and ultimately recommended City <br />Council authorization to solicit Requests for Quotes for 16660 Jasper Street Drainage Improvements, Improvement <br />Project # 19-13 . However, the Public Works Committee requested input from the Finance Director as to whether the <br />City carried errors and omissions insurance that could pay for the required drainage improvements.
