CC Regular Session 5. 17. <br />Meeting Date: 08/25/2020 <br />By: Tim Gladhill, Community Development <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Adopt Resolution #20-186 Temporarily Suspending Enforcement of Off -Premise Advertising on Dynamic Display <br />Signs <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to consider suspending enforcement of the restrictions on off -premise advertising on <br />dynamic display signs. Off -Premise Advertising essentially converts an on -premise sign to a billboard, currently <br />restricted by City Code. <br />Since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the City has granted temporary relief and assistance to local <br />businesses in a variety of categories. Similar to the current request, the City has previously suspended enforcement <br />of temporary signs as it relates to duration of placement of temporary signs. <br />The current request is to allow dynamic display signs within the City to display advertising for business that occurs <br />on other property in Ramsey.
