CC Regular Session 5. 19. <br />Meeting Date: 08/25/2020 <br />By: Colleen Lasher, Administrative <br />Services <br />Information <br />Title <br />Adopt Resolution #20-183 to Hire Paid -on -call Firefighters <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to request authorization to hire paid -on -call Firefighters in order to bring the Fire <br />Department within acceptable staffing levels. <br />Station Staffing Capacity <br />Station #1 / 20 Firefighters <br />Station #2 / 20 Firefighters <br />*Station #3 was not included in this recruitment <br />A firefighter recruitment was conducted, including an informational meeting held at Fire Station #1, interviews, <br />background checks, reference checks, physical agility tests, work -style assessments, pre -employment physicals, and <br />drug screens. At this time, all of the candidates have successfully passed the requirements to become city of <br />Ramsey Paid -on -call Firefighters.
