Councilmember Menth introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #20-181 TH RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTENSION TO ABATEMENT AT 8050 147 LN NW th WHEREAS, 8050 147 Ln NW has an open code enforcement case for multiple violations at the property legally described as follows: LOT 1 BLK 2 HY-10 RAMSEY SUBJ TO EASE OF REC, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA (the “Subject Property”) (PID: 293225140008) WHEREAS, the violations on the Subject Property include the following: a.Violations of City Code Chapter 117, Off-Street Parking Violations and Outdoor Storage; and b.Violations of City Code Chapter 30, Public Nuisances; and WHEREAS, Staff has inspected the Subject Property on April 9, 2020 and June 6, 2020 and July 21, 2020; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey sent notices on April 9, 2020, June 3, 2020, and June 10, 2020; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved abatement of the Subject Property on July 28, 2020; and WHEREAS, the City completed a full inspection for the Abatement on August 3, 2020 and sent a detailed Abatement Notice on August 11, 2020; and WHEREAS, John Leukam, Property Owner, requested an extension for abatement through October 1, 2020 on August 19, 2020; and WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the requested extension on August 25, 2020. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council approves the following related to the code enforcement case: a.Staff reinspects the Subject Property on August 26, 2020 b.If more than twenty-five (25) vehicles or pieces of equipment remain that are not in compliance with City Code standards, Staff will remove items until the number reaches 25.
