Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-116 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A NON-TRADITIONAL ANIMAL <br />LICENSE TO MAINTAIN TWO MINIATURE FAINTING GOATS ON THE PROPERTY <br />GENERALLY KNOWN AS 4925 179TH LANE NW AND DECLARING TERMS OF <br />SAME. <br />WHEREAS, Matthew and Sarah Chamberlain, hereinafter referred to as the "Licensee" <br />have properly applied to the City of Ramsey (the "City") for a Non -Traditional Animal License to <br />maintain two (2) miniature, fainting goats on the property generally known as 4925 179th Lane <br />NW and legally described as follows: <br />That part of the North Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 1, Township 32, Range <br />25 Anoka County, Minnesota described as follows: Commencing at a point on the east <br />line of said North Half 842.16 feet south of northeast corner. Thereof, said point also <br />being center line of public road, thence south 82 degrees, 30 minutes, west along said <br />center line 1010 feet to point of beginning, thence north parallel with said east line 228 <br />feet, thence east 150 feet, thence south 205.75 feet to said center line, thence <br />southwesterly along said center line 151.70 feet to point of beginning, except road <br />subject to easement of record. <br />("Subject Property") <br />WHEREAS, the City Council met on June 9, 2020 to review the request for a Non - <br />Traditional Animal License. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That a Non -Traditional Animal License (the "License") to maintain two (2) miniature, <br />fainting goats on the Subject Property is hereby granted to the Licensee. <br />2. That the Licensee shall relocate the lean-to shelter for the miniature fainting goats such <br />that it complies with all required accessory building setbacks for the R-1 Residential (Rural <br />Developing) and complete construction, including a code compliant exterior finish. <br />3. That the Licensee shall obtain a Zoning Permit for the accessory structure in according <br />with City Code Chapter 117. <br />4. That the Licensee shall maintain the enclosure area and lean-to shelter routinely to ensure <br />that manure or other nuisances do not arise. <br />5. That this License shall be perpetual in duration as long as the terms herein are complied <br />with. <br />
