Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-117 <br />RESOLUTION HIRING SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKERS <br />WHEREAS, annually the City employs Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to <br />perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities Divisions of Public Works; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff selected seven qualified seasonal candidates; and <br />WHEREAS, these candidates have passed their pre -employment screenings; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends hiring seven 2020 Seasonal Public Works Maintenance <br />Workers. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #20-117 to hire the following employees on or near the date <br />listed below: <br />Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Worker: Gunnar Ledin, effective on or near June 1, <br />2020 at $15.00 per hour; Emma Hoekman, effective on or near June 1, 2020 at $14.00 per <br />hour; Dane Jessen, Aaron Hallstrom, Thomas Pundy, and Thomas Leonard all effective <br />on or near June 3, 2020 and all at $13.00 per hour; and Nicole Harris, effective on or near <br />June 10, 2020 at $13.00 per hour <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
