Cotmcilmember Strommen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #05-04-097 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO REPLACE EMERGENCY WARNING SIRENS <br /> <br /> WllEP, EAS, on February 11, 2005, the City of Ramsey Police Department released <br />~'equcsts tbr proposals for the replacement of two (2) outdoor warning sirens; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, the City of Ramsey received three proposals, Vinco, Inc. $22,800, RT <br />Electric $22,470.20 and American Signal Corporation $25,900; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, each proposal was evaluated and staff is recommending American Signal <br />('orporation to provide the installation of two (2) new sirens; American Signal Corporation is the <br />same vendor that installed six (6) of the same style sirens in 2004; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, installation and service will be provided by Electric Systems of Anoka, <br />which is a local vendor. <br /> <br />NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />i) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council authorizes the contracted replacement of two (2) outdoor <br />warning sirens, awarding the bid to American Signal Corporation. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by, Councilmember <br />()lson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councihnember Strommen <br />Councihnember Olson <br />Councihnember Cook <br />Councihnember Elvig <br />Councilmember Pearson <br /> <br />and the lbllowing voted against the same: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />Nolle <br /> <br />and the lb] lowing were absent: <br /> <br />Councihnember Jeffrey <br /> <br /> <br />
