Observations/Alternatives: Observations: During the August Public Works Committee meeting, Staff was directed to check whether a culvert could be constructed under Jarvis Street to direct stormwater runoff to the west side of Jarvis Street. Staff reviewed this option and found that project costs would higher to construct a culvert under Jarvis Street. Staff will provide more details on this during the meeting. On September 22nd Staff intends to request that the City Council accept the quote and award a construction contract. Alternative #2: Motion of other. Funding Source: Construction staking is proposed to be provided by Bolton & Menk at a cost not -to -exceed $1,600. All project costs are proposed to be split evenly between the Stormwater Management and Stormwater Utility Funds, both of which have sufficient funds to cover the costs.
