<br />Councilmember Menth introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #20-171 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR BID <br />PACKAGE # 1 FOR THE NEW RAMSEY PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY, <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #20-07 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City of Ramsey has planned for a new public works facility and added it <br />to our Capital Improvement Plan in 2006; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the location of the new for the new public works facility was purchased in <br />2008 adjacent to the current facility and that purchase was finalized in 2013; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />a third party architectural firm (BKV Group) was hired in 2015 to perform a <br />space needs analysis to determine the size of facility needed to serve the public works departments <br />needs for now and 30-50 years into the future.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the old facility consists of three buildings and multiple off site storage <br />locations, the new site will contain all public works functions and equipment at one centralized <br />location ; and <br /> <br />th <br /> WHEREAS, <br />on September 10 2019 Ramsey City Council entered into a contract with <br />RJM Construction to provide construction management services for the new Ramsey public works <br />facility; and <br /> <br />th <br /> WHEREAS, <br />on February 11 2020 Ramsey City Council entered into a contract with <br />Oertel Architectural to provide design and engineering services for the new Ramsey Public Works <br />Facility; and <br /> <br />th <br /> WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-148 adopted July 14 , <br />2020, the City Council approved plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for bids <br />for Bid Package # 1 for the New City of Ramsey Public Works facility; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />bids were advertised On Quest CDN and ninety (90) bids and quotes were <br />received for ten (10) bid categories and five (5) quote categories <br /> <br />th <br /> WHEREAS, <br />bids were received, opened, and tabulated on August 26, and the following <br />bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids: <br /> <br />BID CATEGORY AWARD AMOUNT <br />3A-Cast-in-Place Concrete Base Bid: $1,194,000.00 <br />Northland Concrete & Masonry Company Alternate # 1 $153,350.00 <br />1125 Stagecoach Roadp <br />Shakopee, Mn 55329 <br /> <br />
