The residents are very excited about the density they are proposing and have been at the <br />Planning Commission expressing their opinion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that there was an indication that the homes were not going to be <br />marketed to families, but yet a fair amount of the units have three bedrooms. <br /> <br />Mr. Slettner replied the product typically sells to 50 or older who typically purchase a two <br />bedroom townhome with the third bedroom as an option. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired if Barium Street will be extended to 153rd Avenue. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik explained that Cobalt Street will be extended to 153rd <br />Avenue, not Barium Street. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired as to what the property owner planned to do with Outlot A <br />since it is a landlocked parcel. <br /> <br />Mr. Slettner explained that Outlot A will be retained by the Rademachers. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if they wanted to combine the two parcels. <br /> <br />Mr. Slettner replied that would have to be a decision made by the Rademachers. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen explained that he is concerned that Outlot A could be a way of <br />getting access from T.H. #47 to Bill's Superette. <br /> <br />Mr. Slettner replied that they have already been denied access from T.H. #47. They do not want <br />Outlot A to be part of the agreement because they want sight vision to Bill's Superette. He felt <br />that if the Council were to recommend that the two lots be combined that they would do so. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman noted that the extension of Cobalt street should be included on the <br />plat. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich inquired as to how the Charter Amendment was addressed. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik replied that the property is currently zoned R-3 <br />residential, but at this point they have not implemented the language of the Charter in this <br />proposed plat. <br /> <br />Councihnember Hendriksen inquired if a traffic analysis had been prepared. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik replied that a traffic analysis was completed by <br />Hakanson Anderson. <br /> <br />City Council/January 9, 2001 <br /> Page 22 of 35 <br /> <br /> <br />
