asking for and yet they are willing to have the laws changed to give the residents of Ramgey what they don't want. Mr. Hendriksen addressed Councilmember Kurak personally stating that he did not feel that she had been candid in her statements. He stated that Ms. Kurak had stated that her and her husband are property owners, but during the Quad Cities Cable meeting Ms. Kurak introduced herself by stating that her husband is a Real Estate Broker and she helps him in his business, which Mr. Hendriksen felt put a "spin on things" and makes him suspicious. Marguerite Henke, Alpaca Estates, stated that she is one of the residents who signed the petition and did not feel that the statements made in regard to all of the facts not being told was true. She stated that she did not believe that anyone was misled when approached about the petition. They explained the facts of the density transition ordinance. She believes that the citizens of Ramsey are very fi'ustrated with the City Council. The Citizens elected the City Council to represent Ramsey not the Met Council. Ms. Henke stated that she is not opposed to affordable housing, but the City of Ramsey needs to require any type of affordable housing to have amenities for children. She stated that she was very disappointed that there are two Councilmembers that are so adamant about carrying out the wishes of the Met Council. The Met Council has indicated that they want the City of Ramsey to be their showcase and yet the Highways in the area are already overcrowded as well as the schools. APPROVE AGENDA City Administrator Norman stated that action on Case #16 should be tabled until February 13, 2001 and added Consent Agenda items 6, 7, and 8. Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to approve the agenda as amended. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Anderson, Zimmerman, Hendriksen, and Kurak. Voting No: None.
