Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-213 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTES AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 16660 <br />JASPER STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #19-13 <br />WHEREAS, drainage improvements are proposed to re-establish positive drainage of <br />stormwater runoff from the property at 16660 Jasper Street, similar to existing conditions before <br />construction of the Brookfield 2nd Addition development occurred; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed drainage improvements will prevent stormwater runoff from <br />ponding in the northwest corner of the property at 16660 Jasper Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer prepared plans for the purpose of soliciting quotes for <br />16660 Jasper Street Drainage Improvements, Improvement Project # 19-13 ; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 18, 2020, the Public Works Committee unanimously adopted a <br />motion to recommend City Council approval of said plans and authorization to solicit Requests <br />for Quotes for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-175, adopted August 25, <br />2020, the plans prepared by the City Engineer for the making of said improvements were <br />approved, and solicitation of Requests for Quotes for said improvements were authorized in <br />accordance with the approved plans and specifications; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 26, 2020, Requests for Quotes were submitted to three <br />contractors, and on September 10, 2020, the following quote was received from Dryden <br />Excavating, Inc. for said improvements, and upon opening and tabulating the quote it was found <br />to comply with the Request for Quotes; and <br />Contractor <br />Total Quote <br />Dryden Excavating, Inc. <br />$ <br />13,929.29 <br />Engineers Estimate <br />$ <br />16,600.00 <br />WHEREAS, on September 15, 2020, the Public Works Committee unanimously adopted <br />a motion to recommend that the City Council accept the quote and award a construction contract <br />to Dryden Excavating, Inc. for said improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the quote of Dryden Excavating, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the <br />amount of $13,929.29 is in accordance with the approved Request for Quotes and their quote <br />shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />RESOLUTION #20-213 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
