PC CASE <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE APPOINTMENT TO ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY BOARD <br /> <br />Givonna Reed, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In March 2005 the City conducted a recruitment process for the newly formed <br />lh~vironmcntal Policy Board (EPB). The vacancies were advertised in the Ramsey <br />Resident and the Anoka Union and Shopper. Staff received ten applications and all ten <br />applicants were interviewed on April 19, 2005. The City Council adopted a resolution <br />April 26, 2005 appointing selected candidates to specific terms. Mr. Steve Friese was <br />appointed to serve a two-year partial term that would expire December 31, 2006. On <br />Monday May 16 2005, Mr. Friese called staff and verbally resigned from the EPB. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Tl~crc were thee individuals who were interviewed, but were not appointed: <br />John Freeburg, John Tracy and Erica Sitz.
