S. 3021-111 <br />(b) LONG ISLAND SOUND STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM. —Section 8(g) <br />of the Long Island Sound Stewardship Act of 2006 (33 U.S.C. <br />1269 note; Public Law 109-359) is amended by striking "2011" <br />and inserting "2021". <br />(C) REAUTHORIZATION OF LONG ISLAND SOUND PROGRAMS.— <br />(1) LONG ISLAND SOUND GRANTS. —Subsection (h) of section <br />119 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 U.S.C. <br />1269) (as redesignated by subsection (a)) is amended to read <br />as follows: <br />"(h) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS. —There is authorized <br />to be appropriated to the Administrator to carry out this section <br />$40,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023.". <br />(2) LONG ISLAND SOUND STEWARDSHIP GRANTS. —Section <br />11(a) of the Long Island Sound Stewardship Act of 2006 (33 <br />U.S.C. 1269 note; Public Law 109-359) is amended by striking <br />"2007 through 2011" and inserting "2019 through 2023". <br />SEC. 4105. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS FOR COLUMBIA <br />RIVER BASIN RESTORATION. <br />Section 123(d) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 <br />U.S.C. 1275(d)) is amended by adding at the end the following: <br />"(6) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS. —There is author- <br />ized to be appropriated to carry out this subsection $30,000,000 <br />for each of fiscal years 2020 and 2021.". <br />SEC. 4106. SEWER OVERFLOW CONTROL GRANTS. <br />Section 221 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (33 <br />U.S.C. 1301) is amended— <br />(1) by amending the section heading to read as follows: <br />"SEWER OVERFLOW AND STORMWATER REUSE MUNICIPAL <br />GRANTS"; <br />(2) by amending subsection (a) to read as follows: <br />"(a) IN GENERAL.— <br />"(1) GRANTS TO STATES. —The Administrator may make <br />grants to States for the purpose of providing grants to a munici- <br />pality or municipal entity for planning, design, and construction <br />of — <br />"(A) treatment works to intercept, transport, control, <br />treat, or reuse municipal combined sewer overflows, sani- <br />tary sewer overflows, or stormwater; and <br />"(B) any other measures to manage, reduce, treat, or <br />recapture stormwater or subsurface drainage water eligible <br />for assistance under section 603(c). <br />"(2) DIRECT MUNICIPAL GRANTS. —Subject to subsection (g), <br />the Administrator may make a direct grant to a municipality <br />or municipal entity for the purposes described in paragraph <br />(1)."; <br />(3) by amending subsection (e) to read as follows: <br />"(e) ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS. —A project that receives <br />assistance under this section shall be carried out subject to the <br />same requirements as a project that receives assistance from a <br />State water pollution control revolving fund under title VI, except <br />to the extent that the Governor of the State in which the project <br />is 1 nnQfod r1 of ormi n oc +ho f roniiirom on+ ni +410 \TT is in rnn ci cfon+ <br />
