Motion by Councilmember Menth, seconded by Councilmember Riley, to recommend that the <br />City Council accept the Settlement Offer from 21' Century Bank related to the Watermain and <br />Sanitary Sewer Cost Contribution/Reimbursement Agreement not to exceed $70,000. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Kuzma, Councilmembers Menth and Riley. Voting <br />No: None. <br />5.02: Consider Recommendation to City Council Accepting Quotes and Awarding <br />Contract for 16660 Jasper Street Drainage Improvements, Improvement Project 19- <br />13 <br />City Engineer Westby reviewed the staff report and recommendation to recommend that the City <br />Council accept the quote and award a construction contract for 16660 Jasper Street Drainage <br />Improvements, Improvement Project 19-13, to Dryden Excavating Inc. in the amount of <br />$13,929.29. <br />Councilmember Menth asked if City staff would be staking the property and whether staff has the <br />proper equipment. <br />City Engineer Westby confirmed that City staff would complete the staking for the project and has <br />the proper equipment to complete construction staking for these types of small projects. <br />Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Menth, to recommend that the <br />City Council accept the quote and award a construction contract for 16660 Jasper Street Drainage <br />Improvements, Improvement Project 19-13, to Dryden Excavating Inc. in the amount of <br />$13,929.29. <br />Motion carried. Voting <br />No: None. <br />5.03: Consider Recommendation to City Council Accepting Quotes and Awarding <br />Contract for 5751 164' Lane Drainage Improvements, Improvement Project 19-17 <br />City Engineer Westby reviewed the staff report and recommendation to recommend that the City <br />Council accept the quote and award a construction contract for 5751 164th Lane Drainage <br />Improvements, Improvement Project 19-17, to Dryden Excavating Inc. in the amount of <br />$22,827.78. <br />Councilmember Menth asked if the property to the west of the existing drainage easement and <br />swale north of 164th Lane is in danger of being flooded. <br />City Engineer Westby confirmed that Staff reviewed this and the water would stay within that <br />swale and would not be a danger to that property. <br />Public Works Committee / September 15, 2020 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
