<br />Presentation <br /> <br />Finance Director Lund reviewed the staff report and recommendation to adopt Resolution #20-201 <br />adopting assessments for past-due charges on municipal utility bills (which may include water, <br />sewer, street lighting, recycling, storm water charges, and penalties incurred) and current services <br />rendered. <br /> <br />Councilmember Menth asked if there are fewer cases of delinquency this year compared to last <br />year. <br /> <br />Finance Director Lund confirmed that to be true. <br /> <br />Councilmember Musgrove asked if it is a City or County policy that delinquent charges remain <br />with the property. <br /> <br />Finance Director Lund replied that is a State statute. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor LeTourneau called the public hearing to order at 7:16 p.m. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated if CARES Act funds could be used to bring relief to residents that <br />may be experiencing hardship. <br /> <br />Finance Director Lund replied that CARES Act funds cannot be used to make up for revenue. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Musgrove, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor LeTourneau, Councilmembers Kuzma, Musgrove, Menth, <br />Riley, and Specht. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:17 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, to Adopt Resolution #20- <br />201 Adopting Assessments for Past-Due Charges on Municipal Utility Bills (which may include <br />water, sewer, street lighting, recycling, storm water charges and penalties incurred) and Current <br />Services Rendered. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
