Mayor LeTourneau stated that he was fond of hearing the statement from Councilmember Menth
related to the fact that residents often believe that the Council has made up its mind before entering
the room. He stated that many times in his years on the Council he has thought that the Council
was in agreement on a topic because of the information from staff but that has changed on multiple
occasions because of the input from the public. He stated that he also supports the consensus of
the Council tonight to support this development moving forward as proposed without the
connection to Bowers Drive at this time. He thanked Capstone for continuing to work with
residents and listening to their input throughout this process. He commended Capstone for
preserving additional trees and bringing forward a solid project to the community.

Mr. Johnson thanked Capstone and the members of the Council and City staff for hearing the
residents tonight.
8.
