STATE OF MINNESOTA
COUNTY OF ANOKA
CITY OF RAMSEY
Code Enforcement Unit
• We also noticed cobwebs forming between vehicles, indicating that they
have been there for a substantial amount of time and are not customer -
owned and operated.
(26) The outdoor or outside storage of any part of a motor vehicle or piece of machinery
that is deteriorating or unusable or intended to be used as salvageable parts.
• Section 117-120 — H-1 Highway 10 Business District — (b) Permitted uses
o Auto cannibalization is not an allowed business in the H-1 Highway 10 Business
District, nor anywhere else in the City of Ramsey.
Since this is a repeated violation within the last 12 months, you are receiving a $250 administrative
citation. You have 14 days from the date of this letter to complete the following (or you will
receive another $250 citation):
• Outside storage of waste/refuse/junk
o Properly store or dispose of all materials stored outside
• Inoperable vehicles
o Properly tab and license all vehicles on the property; or
o Remove all "inoperable" vehicles from the property.
• Auto Cannibalization
o Cease all activity related to the business of automotive cannibalization.
o You may not use parts from other vehicles on the property to repair customer
vehicles. While on site, we noticed numerous openly stored auto parts such as
motors, seats, tires, and other items that are indicative that those vehicles are being
used to source parts for other vehicles.
Please contact me at (763) 576-4314 to schedule an inspection after the violations, and to answer
any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Brian McCann, Planning Technician
(763) 576-4314 1 bmccann@cityoframsey.com
Ramsey Planning Department
City of Ramsey • 7550 Sunwood Dr NW • Ramsey, MN 55303
City Hall (763) 427-1410 • Police Administration (763) 427-6812
