The City sent a notice of violation for the property on September 16th, 2020. Staff was able to inspect the property on September 3rd, 2020 and October 2nd, 2020 and found the violations listed above. An abatement of the property will be part of the consent agenda at the City Council meeting on October 13th, 2020. We are also recommending that the City Council give direction to not renew the lease when your lease expires. Another $250 citation is included for persistent violations. You have 14 days from the date of this letter to complete the following (or the items will be removed from the property, and the property owner will be billed up to 150% of the expense): • Outside storage of waste/refuse/junk o Properly store or dispose of all materials stored outside • Inoperable vehicles o Properly tab and license all vehicles on the property; or o Remove all "inoperable" vehicles from the property. • Auto Cannibalization o Cease all activity related to the business of automotive cannibalization. o You may not use parts from other vehicles on the property to repair customer vehicles. While on site, we noticed numerous openly stored auto parts such as motors, seats, tires, and other items that are indicative that those vehicles are being used to source parts for other vehicles.
