Deputy City Administrator Gladhill reviewed the staff report and recommendation to approve the <br />second amendment for Purchase Agreement for Cobblestone Hotel, extending the deadline for the <br />notice to proceed to August 30, 2020. <br />Councilmember Musgrove asked if there is any financial penalty that the City receives for this <br />extension or whether that would be included in the more formal action to follow. <br />Deputy City Administrator Gladhill stated that currently there is no earnest money put down. He <br />noted that discussion could occur at the more formal case in August. <br />Councilmember Musgrove agreed that would be an appropriate discussion due to the staff time <br />that has been spent on this. <br />Motion by Councilmember Menth, seconded by Councilmember Musgrove, to approve the second <br />amendment for Purchase Agreement for Cobblestone Hotel, extending deadline for Notice to <br />Proceed to August 30, 2020. <br />A roll call vote was performed: <br />Councilmember Kuzma aye <br />Councilmember Specht aye <br />Councilmember Musgrove aye <br />Councilmember Menth aye <br />Councilmember Riley aye <br />Mayor LeTourneau aye <br />Motion carried. <br />8. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br />City Administrator Ulrich announced upcoming meetings and events. <br />Councilmember Musgrove thanked the residents that attended tonight and that have attended other <br />meetings to provide input. <br />Mayor LeTourneau stated that he also appreciates when residents provide input, as that is a shining <br />example of what the community should be. He stated that earlier tonight there was a discussion <br />related to concern about $1,300,000 which has caused confusion in the community. He stated that <br />people owe it upon themselves to find good information. He stated that the City will post a link <br />on its website in order to provide residents with this information. He encouraged everyone to visit <br />that data and read through it as it provides a clear explanation. <br />9. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Councilmember Musgrove, seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br />City Council / July 28, 2020 <br />Page 15 of 16 <br />
