Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-251 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE ITEMS AT <br />8049 146th AVE NW <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey currently has an open code enforcement case on the <br />property legally generally known as 8049 146th Ave NW and legally described as: <br />LOT 4 BLK 2 HY-10 RAMSEY SUBJ TO EASE OF REC Anoka County, <br />Minnesota; and <br />(the "Subject Property") <br />WHEREAS, the City sent a first notice of violation on August 11, 2020 and an abatement <br />notice with a $75 citation on October 20, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, City Staff has been attempting to work with the Tenant and Property Owner <br />in terms of lawful, non -conforming rights onsite related to off-street parking regulations but has <br />not seen any cleanup related to the nuisance items; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey City Council reviewed the request on October 27, 2020. <br />FINDINGS OF FACT <br />1. The City inspected the property on: <br />a. August 18, 2020 for the outstanding violation issues and to outline expectations <br />going forward. <br />2. The City sent formal notices via US Mail on: <br />a. August 11, 2020 for all motor vehicles to be parked on an improved surface, the <br />vegetation be properly maintained, and all construction materials to be properly <br />disposed of or stored appropriately. <br />b. October 20, 2020 for abatement of nuisance items including large brush pile, pile <br />of tires onsite, outdoor piles of construction materials that are unused with a $75 <br />Citation. <br />3. The City corresponded with the applicant via phone on: <br />a. August 17, 2020 to schedule an inspection of the property. <br />b. August 20, 2020 to discuss potential areas of legal, nonconforming use on the <br />property. <br />RESOLUTION 20-251 <br />Page 1of4 <br />
