Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Engineer Brian Olson <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br /> <br />at the <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and lead in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Alena Hunter, 14628 Helium Street NW, Ramsey, presented the Council with an additional 391 <br />signatures supporting a Town Center concept and the passage of the Comprehensive Plan. A <br />total of 1,320 signatures have been received. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he has been hearing that some of the members presenting <br />the petition have stated that some of the Councilmembers are not in favor of a bridge crossing. <br /> <br />Ms. Hunter replied that she has never stated that. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen stated that the entire Council has been in support of the proposed <br />location of the bridge. There is funding in place to complete the environmental study, which will <br />kick off in June and take about two years. He stated that if it takes some time to work out the <br />details of the Comprehensive Plan it will not impact the bridge. <br /> <br />City Council/April 24, 2001 <br /> Page 2 of 27 <br /> <br /> <br />
