CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at the Ramsey <br />Fire Station Number II, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Engineer Brian Olson <br />City Att0rnby William Goodrich <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. and called <br />upon Councilmember Anderson to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Winslow Holasek, 1159 Andover Boulevard, Andover, stated that it seems like the City does not <br />have a long range plan on how to handle new developments with urban services. He felt that the <br />City should be requiring developing businesses to extend utilities to the edge of their property <br />line, even if the neighboring property is not ready to develop, in order to accommodate adjacent <br />parcels to avoid problems in the future. <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson stated that the question that was brought forward at the last Council meeting <br />was if the storm sewer pipe was sized large enough for the Sunfish Ponds development to <br />accommodate additional drainage in the future. The pipe in that development will be sized as an <br />overflow and will be large enough to accommodate future development.
