She suggested looking into a pedestrian crosswalk across Ramsey Parkway at the <br />point of the pedestrian connection. <br /> <br />A~;sistant Public Works Director Olson indicated staff can look at that possibility. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook commended the developer on the different facials on the buildings with <br />thc diversity and the different colors. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Kapler indicated he would like it to be on record that more detail is <br />needed about the infiltration basins. He expressed concern if the landscaping will require any <br />type ol' burning as part of the maintenance. <br /> <br /> consensus of the Council was that staff should draft a policy prohibiting burning in the <br />rcsktcntial area of Town Center. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson advised the D.R. Horton first phase included rain gardens <br />that thc Council approved, which would test the effect of rain gardens. Staff was informed the <br />plants in these areas would be a water resistant material that could have the character of more of <br />;~ t]owering type plant. <br /> <br />Counciinmmber Elvig noted the Council had discussed the rain gardens being of questionable <br />ct"t'cct. The determination had been to try some out, but not to adopt rain gardens as an overall <br />plan li)r the Town Center. He asked how many rain gardens are currently in effect in the Town <br />Center area. <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson replied the rain garden in D.R.
