Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Committee Input <br /> <br />Ct)uncilmember Strommen indicated Councilmember Elvig provided an update of the tour with <br />Moody's this morning. <br /> <br />Ctmncilmcmber Elvig stated he attended the tour of the City with staff and Moody's this <br />mt)ming. The tour was positive and staff should have a response from Moody's tomorrow <br />morning regarding the tour. <br /> <br />¢/a~sc #18: Report fi'om Public Works <br /> <br />1) Summary for 2004-2005 Snow Removal Season <br /> <br />!~ublit: Works Director Kapler reported the City had four major plowing events in the 2004-2005 <br />:mow removal season and 20 minor events. The first full scale plowing operation was on January <br />I3, 2005. This winter the City lost its oldest piece of snow fighting equipment due to mechanical <br />l'ailurc. Duc to the cost of the ?epair and the age of the equipment the motor grader was retired. <br />Stat'f will be looking at some type of equipment rental agreement for the next season, and <br />eventual replacement in the near future. He reported Public Works staff met last week to discuss <br />capital equipment planning, and with the miles of road being added in the City another plow <br />route will need to be added soon. Public Works staff continues with the priority school walking <br />zone with the same priority as streets, which worked very well. <br /> <br />Mayor Game asked if sod and mailbox damage is due to staking. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Kapler replied it likely has an impact, but the big portion of the damage is <br />probably due to there not being a'heavy snow before the ground froze.
