Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />I~SOLUTION//05-06- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION IDENTIFYING FINDINGS, APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN <br />AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION ON THE PROPOSED <br />PLAT OF MARIGOLD POND FROM RURAL DEVELOPING TO LOW DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL, AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO <br />THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on February 3, 2005, the City of Ramsey recefved an application from <br />Oakwood Land Development (the "Property Owner") requesting an amendment to the <br />Comprehensive Plan to change the future land use designation from Rural Developing to Low <br />Density Residential for the following legally described property: <br /> <br />That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section '14, Township 32, <br />Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying northeasterly of the centerline of trunk <br />Highway No. 47, except the roi!owingi Beginning at the southwest comer of Lot 1, <br />Block 4, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2n Addition; thence south 89 degrees 57 minutes <br />34 seconds east along the south line of said plat 299~25 feet; thence south 00 degrees 19 <br />minutes 00 seconds west 178.16 feet; thence south 81 degrees 19 minutes 00 seconds <br />west 504.98 feet; thence' north 00 degrees 19 minutes 00 seconds east to the north line of <br />said Quarter Quarter; thence east along said north line to the point of beginning and <br />there terminating. <br /> <br />And <br /> <br />That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 32, <br />Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, lying northeasterly of the center line of State <br />Trunk Highway No. 47, excepting therefrom that part of the Northeast Quarter of <br />Section 14, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows: <br />Commencing at the intersection of the north line of said Section 14 with the centerline <br />of State Trunk HighWay No. 47 as the same is now laid out and traveled, said point <br />being 762.3 feet east from the North Quarter comer of said Section 14; thence south 3 <br />degrees 05 minutes east along the centerline of said highway a distance of 540.55 feet; <br />thence south 1 degree 52 minutes east continuing along said centerline a distance of <br />602.85 feet; thence continuing along said centerline on a tangential curve to the left <br />having a radius of 1038.81 feet for a distance of 93.85 feet to the actual point of <br />beginning of the tract of land to be hereby described; thence south 85 degrees 12 <br />minutes 47 seconds east a distance of 273.55 feet; thence south 20 degrees 12 minutes <br />47 seconds east a distance of 280.00 feet; thence south 71 degrees 24 minutes 43 <br />seconds west a distance of 264.05 feet to [ts intersection with the centerline of said <br />highway; thence northwesterly along said cer/terline a distance of 390.77 feet, more or <br />less, to the actual point of beginning.
