(Smncihncmber introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-06- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION IDENTIFYING FINDINGS, APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN <br />AMENDMENT TO CHANGE A LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM LOW- AND MEDIUM- <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO MIXED USE, AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO <br />SUP, MIT AN APPLICATION TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 13, 2005, the City of Ramsey received an application from Ramsey <br />Tow,.t Center, LLC (the "Property Owner") requesting an amendment to the COmprehensive Plan to <br />change thc I:uture land use designation from Low- and Medium-Density Residential for the following <br />[cgaiiy dcscribed property: <br /> <br />Otttlots A, B, C, D, and E, Ramsey Town Center Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />(Thc Subjcct Property) <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan approved in 2001 shows the Subject Property <br />designated land use as Low- and Medium-Density Residential; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, the property owners are requesting that the Subject Property designated land use <br />be changed to Mixed Use, to complement the remainder of the Town Center site; and' <br /> <br /> W tl E REAS, the comprehensive plan amendment request meets the criteria established in the <br />intecia:. Policy fbr Proposed Land Use Changes adopted by the Ramsey City Council on April 26, <br />2()05: and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on June 2, 2005, conducted a public <br />hcat'ing, and. recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the Property Owner's request for <br />an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW THFA;tEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />I~'~,MSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) q. hat the P, amsey City Council hereby approves the request for a land use designation change of' <br /> the Subject Property from Low- and Medium-Density Residential to Mixed Use. <br /> <br />q hat the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary <br />do,zun~entation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 2001 Comprehensive plan to <br />change the land use designation to Mixed Use. <br /> <br />'hat this land use change shall become effective 6oncurrent with the City's receipt of notification <br />approval, from Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />Thc motiotn {bt thc adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> _ _ , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />41 <br /> <br /> <br />
