<br />Councilmember Menth introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #20-234 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ABATEMENT OF OFF-STREET PARKING <br />VIOLATIONS AND NUISANCE VIOLATIONS AT 14700 ARMSTRONG BLVD NW <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 14700 Armstrong Blvd NW has an open code enforcement case for multiple <br />violations at the property legally described as follows: <br /> <br />LOT 3 BLK 1 HY-10 3RD ADD; EX RD SUBJ TO EASE OF REC <br /> <br />(the “Subject Property”) (PID: 293225140008) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the violations on the Subject Property include the following: <br /> <br />a. Violations of City Code Chapter 117, Off-Street Parking Violations and Outdoor <br />Storage; and <br /> <br />b. Violations of City Code Chapter 30, Public Nuisances; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff has inspected the Subject Property on April 30, 2020, June 2, 2020, <br />June 16, 2020, and October 5, 2020; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey sent notices on May 5, 2020 and June 3, 2020; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Subject Property remains out of compliance with City Code standards; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved abatement of the Subject Property on October 13, <br />2020. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council approves the following related to the code enforcement case: <br /> <br />a. City Staff will do an onsite inspection of the entire site and inventory all items for <br />abatement or removal that are not in compliance with City Code. <br />b. City Staff will issue an abatement notice with a $250 Citation enclosed for Property <br />Owner. <br />c. City Staff will hire abatement contractors to complete abatement of items that are not <br />in compliance with City Code. <br />d. City Staff and Contractors will complete abatement. <br />e. City Staff has the authorization to escalate future fines for the Subject Property starting <br />at $250 for the same violation within one (1) year. <br /> <br />
