<br />Councilmember Menth introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #20-250 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE TEMPORARY ON-CALL SNOW PLOW DRIVERS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> annually the City employs Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers to provide <br />general maintenance of public streets, parking lots, and any other municipal related facilities and/or <br />equipment including snow plowing of public streets, trails, and walks, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers are not required to hold a <br />Commercial Driver’s License as they are not driving a commercial vehicle; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> Staff conducted the annual hiring process and selected qualified candidates <br />to fill the vacancies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the candidates have passed the pre-employment screening process; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> Staff recommends hiring Mr. Keith Noreen at $15.00 per hour, Mr. Thomas <br />Pagel at $14.00 per hour; Mr. Thomas Petrich at $13.50 per hour; Mr. Bruce Anderson, Mr. John <br />Dickes, Mr. Thomas Hoxter, Mr. Thomas Leonard and Mr. Thomas Pundy all at $13.00 per hour. <br />All eight of these candidates will be effective on/near Wednesday, October 28, 2020. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #20-250 hiring the following returning Temporary On-call <br />Snow Plow Drivers: Mr. Keith Noreen at $15.00 per hour, Mr. Thomas Pagel at $14.00 <br />per hour; Mr. Thomas Petrich at $13.50 per hour; and the following new Temporary On- <br />call Snow Plow Drivers: Mr. Bruce Anderson at $13.00 per hour, Mr. John Dickes at <br />$13.00 per hour, Mr. Thomas Hoxter at $13.00 per hour, Mr. Thomas Leonard at $13.00 <br />per hour and Mr. Thomas Pundy at $13.00 per hour; effective on or near October 28, 2020. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Specht, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Menth <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
