RE 'D MAY 0 005 <br /> We thc .ndersigned adult residents of gamsey respectfully petition the Ramsey City <br />C. ounci! to deny the applications of the developers of Shade Tree Cottages and Rum River <br />Meadows tbr PUD status for the following reason: <br /> <br /> Ramsey City Code does not allow for a "detached townhome" as elligible for PUD status. <br />It recognizes single family homes which, require following R-1 zoning laws, and "attached <br />townhmncs/' Since the buildings proposed by the developers best meet the definition of <br />sh~gle l'amily homes, we request that the R-1 requirement for 10,800 square foot lots <br />i~tstead of thc proposed 3,200 to 3,700 square foot lots be adhered to. One purpose of <br />zoning ar~ area like this R-I instead of highter density is to prevent potential problems <br />with drainage, trallic, sali~ty, density transitioning, and preservation of land <br />characteristics. This is an area that especially would benefit from remaining R-I zoned. <br /> <br />4o <br /> <br /> <br />
