The project would involve acquisition of
[Scenic and trail easements, boardwalk and trail construction and natural resource enhancements.

[Justification I '
7~]~is trail projeci would be pre~iicated on significant planning leading up to construction and likely involve a Master
Plan; as wcll as receiving grant monies for funding. The land around the brook is the largest and most contiguous
undew;loped natural area within Ramsey. The City is expected to receive two million dollars for land protection in
2003 fi'om the l~cgislative Commission on Minnesota Resources.

Expenditures 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 Total
Improvements Other than Boil 4,015,000 4,015,000
Total 4,015,000 4,015,000

I'-'u nding Sources 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 Total
Grants and Aids 4,000,000 4,000,000
Landfill Trust Fund 15,000 15,000
Total 4,015,000 4,015,000
