Trail ' Corridor Descriptions
and Cost Estimates

wittfin the City of Ramsey,
there are 10 primary trail
corridors. The shorter,
miscellaneous trail segments have
been lumped into one category.
While these segments are not.
associated with a named, primary
corridor, thcy constitute the greatest
sum of proposed trail Construction.

l~.'~ach of the trail corridors are
some[tries made up of differenti
trail types, in varied segments. In
other cases, the trail type may
more homogenous. Since the
Ramsey Master Trail Plan focuses
on general alignment and does not
identify specific trail types for all
instances, some general
assumptions ~vere made about what~
trail types would be used given the
anticipated terrain. Trails that do
not cross wetlands were simply!
categorized as "upland,"

In wetland areas, three different ave[land types were identified and categorized
as type A, B, & C. Each of these three different types have physical
characteristics that are unique and require different crossing techniques. The
estimated costs belo~v are broken down further in this section, along with a
brief trail corridor description.
