The Commission thought a letter should be sent to her indicating they looked into this and will <br />be corrected. <br /> <br />Civil ['ingineer II Linton stated there were a couple of comments regarding how the residents <br />liked thc parks. <br /> <br />Motion by Shryock, seconded by Pontius, supporting using lawful gambling funds for the <br />const~'uction of a basketball court at Titterud Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Shryock, Pontius, LaMere, <br />Ldm]an, Olds, and Ostrmn. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Clustering Ordinance <br /> <br />Civil }mginccr II Linton stated the City just passed the Clustering Ordinance and it is meant to <br />give people north of Trott Brook an opportunity to develop their land without locking it into <br />something that cannot be developed in the future. <br /> <br />(;ivit lh~ginecr II Linton stated they have three developments in for a sketch plan at this time that <br />a~'c cluslcr developments. <br /> <br />Chaiq-~crson Johns thought this was a great way to do it. <br /> <br />Parks/[itilitics Supervisor Riverblood stated this is a transition in the development of the land <br />and seems to fit a lot of needs in the community. <br /> <br />Civil 15ngineer II Linton noted there are some developments like this in Elk River already but he <br />thought that would be the extent of the development and would not be allowed to develop further <br />in ~l-~e future. <br /> <br />~ Wetland Buffering Ordinance <br /> <br />Civil I~,nginccr Il Linton stated this ordinance is working its way through the process. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds stated the Planning Commission met to go over this and there were more <br />questions brought up regarding this than were answered. The Planning Commission <br />recommended the Environmental Policy Board (EPB) to go back and make modifications to the <br />ordinance for the next City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Facility Naming Update <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton explained this item regarded the discussion brought up a few months <br />ago about naming a park after an individual and the City Administrator indicated he wanted to <br />brit~g this to a worksession meeting for discussion. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/May 12, 2005 <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
