Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-295 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A PART-TIME POLICE TECHNICIAN <br />WHEREAS, The City Council authorized funding for a Part-time Police Technician; and <br />WHEREAS, an internal and external recruitment process was conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Nicole M. Cramton has been selected as the top candidate for the <br />position working 25 hours per week; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is recommending <br />that Ms. Nicole M. Cramton be hired as a Part-time Police Technician at $21.15 per hour effective <br />on or near Monday, January 4, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Nicole M. Cramton will be subject to a 6-month probationary period, <br />the City's Personnel Policy and AFSCME union contract. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #20-295 hiring Ms. Nicole Cramton as the City's new Police <br />Records Technician, effective on or near January 4, 2021, with a credit of three vacation <br />days, at $21.15 per hour which is the 2020 step 1 hourly wage; after the 2021 contract is <br />settled, the wage shall be adjusted as per the 2021 AFSCME contract. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
